We are delighted to contact you regarding the initiative to establish and formally operate the Alumni Network of the MSc programme “Contemporary Sports Communication, Journalism and Photojournalism” of the Department of Sports Organization and Management (DSOM) of the University of the Peloponnese in Sparta.

Our aim is to sustain a vibrant community, to facilitate professional mutual support, and to maintain a lasting connection between our graduates and the labour market in sports media and communication.

    Central Alumni Network via LinkedIn
    The primary platform for information, communication and professional networking among the University’s graduates is the official LinkedIn page of the University of the Peloponnese, through which graduates can remain connected with the institution and with one another.

    Registration in the Alumni Registry
    Graduates may enter their details in the official Alumni Registry of the University of the Peloponnese by completing the corresponding online registration form. In this way, they can be informed about activities, events and opportunities concerning the alumni community.

    Career Office of the University of the Peloponnese
    The Career Office provides services related to career guidance and professional development. It also offers counselling support and information on job vacancies, professional opportunities and other activities that can strengthen graduates’ career paths.

    Institutional Repository “Amitos”
    The Library and Information Centre of the University of the Peloponnese maintains the Institutional Repository “Amitos”, which collects and provides access to the University’s academic and research output.
    The repository includes, among other items:

    • postgraduate theses,
    • doctoral dissertations,
    • selected undergraduate and other academic works,
    • scientific publications and research papers by teaching and research staff.

    Panhellenic Alumni Association of DSOM – University of the Peloponnese
    The Department of Sports Organization and Management (DSOM) of the University of the Peloponnese is the only university department in Greece that engages scientifically with the field of Sport Management, a discipline that is developing dynamically and is gaining increasing importance in the sports industry and in society.

    We are pleased to announce that, following two years of consultation, collaboration and preparation, the establishment of the Panhellenic Alumni Association of DSOM – University of the Peloponnese (PASATODA – PAPEL) has been completed. It now constitutes the institutional body for cooperation and networking among the Department’s graduates.

    The Association aspires to function as:

    • a bridge between education and the labour market,
    • a platform for professional networking,
    • a body for lifelong learning and continuing education,
    • a pillar for the development and advancement of the Sport Management sector in Greece.

    By decision of the Deanery of the University of the Peloponnese, the seat of the Association is located within the Department of Sports Organization and Management in Sparta. PASATODA – PAPEL is an integral part of, and partner to, the University of the Peloponnese and the academic community, strengthening the link between graduates and the Department and contributing to the development of the scientific field of Sport Management in Greece.
